Fall Confession Three

Three

I have control freak tendencies.

***********

I think I fully realized it one night when driving home from some event. I stopped the car and ordered my sister out. I told her she could just walk home. In my defense, it would only really have taken her 12 minutes. There was absolute silence and she didn’t budge. I have no memory as to why I did it except that she made me mad. And I was the driver.

I’m also a perfectionist. I sometimes think if you want something done right you have to do it yourself. I know there’s a correlation between perfectionism and control-ism. It’s not a good thing! I’m just thankful I have the next few years to work on improving that factor.

***********

I was awarded two blog awards in the last couple days!!! Thank you Jess over at It's a big deal to me, for the Versatile blogger award! Thank you Steph over at Influence, for the One Lovely Blog award!

My next post will include the awards and the recipients. Thank you Steph and Jess; I feel honored to have received not just one blog award, but two!

Wilders

BTW, I’m pro Wilders. In America we have(had) freedom of speech. Which  is something that many people lost their lives over. Sadly, that is becoming a thing of the past. People are going into hiding on their own dime because they say(draw) something that offends extremist groups. That’s not right. Has tolerance gone too far if people are fearing for their lives? Should we be tolerant of people who won't accept us unless we conform to what they believe? Are they being tolerant of us? Excuse me if I do not understand.  I know Wilder’s is extreme in some ways but how do you really fight extremism? If you don’t at least equal the opposing sides passion, you are bound to failure.

And that’s Emily reporting to you live from Sk- Washington

  2. I'm also a perfectionist but I'm in the process of fixing it... We'll both get through this...

  3. I know, Daniela! It's really awful once it hits you cause then it's like... What to do??

Yes, Traveliztera!! One step at a time... slowly but surely. ;)

  5. I can completely relate to what you're saying about perfectionism. In my case when the job is done, it's done (almost) perfectly (I say almost because I'm never satisfied 100% but I can live with 99%). But I think that is also holding me down in a way. I wish I could learn to balance it in a healthy way.

  6. If I am so pissed at my sisters, I can be very 'bitchy', if you know what I mean :)
But later, I'll feel guilty for yelling at them. But things will usually calmer in a few hours later. I usually pretend as if nothing happened! lol

  8. One time after a fight in the car my sister drove me off a cliff. Right down it at a ninety degree angle. The back window shattered. I didn't spill my tea. It was an open cup and everything. The moral of the story is that I am a ninja.

  9. I wouldn't say i'm a perfectionist (or maybe i'm just in denial) but i do like things to be "just so." Plus i get really bad road rage when my boyfriend is in the car, i can recall many a time when i have told him to walk home, mostly for trying to tell me how to drive!

  10. Congrats on the blog awards!

And don't feel bad about trying to evict your sister from your car. I would have done the same!

  11. I also have the problem of thinking it's just better for me to do something than to have someone else do it either slowly or wrong. if you figure out how to get over that, let me know! :)

  12. I don't think there's anything wrong speaking your mind, too many times nowadays people get offended by the slightest things just to be offended. ie we can't even use the word "Retard" anymore, or even really "idiots" or "morons". sooner than later we are going to run out of things to call stupid people I think

  14. Congrats on your other award!! You deserve them :) I agree with what you've said on being a perfectionist too, I'm the same. Only I wish I was a perfectionist on being super tidy, I always find myself getting way too cluttered with things that I say I'll put away but never do....*sigh* I need to be more disciplined!!

  19. i've never heard of wilders, but the notion of freedom of speech is both simplistic and idealistic....ultimately there needs to be some sort of referee to deal with the nutters of this world

  20. @Laura:I like to think I'm nicer now than I was! :D

@AlphaButtonpusher: I suppose in life it really is all about balance. Almost everything is good in some ways.. and yet when taken to any extreme it's no longer good! :)

@Windri: I know what you mean!! :D haha - and my sisters don't bring it up either! It's like we all - forget and move on.

@Marie: Thanks for stopping by my blog! It's always nice to hear when someone feels the same way as I do! :D

@Gatewood: ahhh, i had no idea you were ninja. I think that means you make an excellent ninja.

@Sassyshoediary: I will totally let you know!! ;) And thank you soo much for the award! :)

@Pop Champagne: LOL i know, right??? And the progression after is to take everyone to court for 'offending' you. So lame!!

    @Jas: Thanks!! :)

@Steph: oh my yes, i know what you mean about getting cluttered. There's always something else to do that sounds exciting! :)

@dull boy: And there appears to be a lot of nutters in the world!! :)
